I have been going through my sketch pads and have found quite a few drawing and watercolours done while travelling. Like this one, from Luca, Italy. Some of them are not finished, or I didn’t plan very well and ran out of space on the page, but they all mean something and are part of the journey. In addition, if you paint in “plein air” you don’t get to revisit it as you would if you were using a photo as reference. Once you leave, you lose it.
